This journal serves as a refuge for your innermost feelings.
This is a space where you can express what’s on your heart through the power of words, complemented by your own artistic doodles or illustrations. You don’t need to be a professional writer or poet to articulate your emotions. There’s no judgment here, allowing you to write paragraphs, simple sentences, or simply jot down the words that reflect your feelings.
In this journal, you have the freedom to unleash your thoughts and emotions. Grief hits hard, extending far beyond simply feeling blue. It can ignite feelings of anger and a sense of unfairness. This journal serves as your safe haven, allowing you to freely express those intense emotions without fear of judgment from others.
Grief arises due to various experiences, including the death of a loved one, the end of a friendship or relationship, personal health challenges, or the loss of a dream or career. Release parts of it through the motion of pen to paper. This is a mindfulness activity that connects us to our own heart and connects us to our parasympathetic nervous system. Writing can lower our stress and improve our mental wellness by lifting our mood.
Set aside just five minutes each day for the next sixty days to interact with this journal.
This journal will accompany you on a 60 day journey to:
Write it.
Feel it.
Release it.
Heal it.
And afterwards? You can choose to burn it, tear it apart, or keep it safely tucked away.
The choice is entirely yours.
I created this journal with my teenage daughter in mind, as she loves journaling, drawing, writing, and poetry. It serves as a meaningful gift for any tween or teen dealing with the loss of a loved one, the end of a friendship, the passing of a pet, or any other kind of heartache. This journal is also perfect for adults, who often underestimate the healing power of writing. Engaging in doodling, capturing random thoughts and emotions, and taking a break from screens, whether outdoors or in our favorite cozy chair, can greatly improve our mental well-being, reduce stress, and aid in healing our own emotional wounds. While grief may cast a shadow over our lives, journaling provides a path through that sadness, allowing us to discover healing and release through our own unique creative expression.
